Music, Movie, & Book Reviews

Here's my unofficial reviews of the latest cd's, books, & movies I've experienced

Annnd ACTION!

Finding Neverland
starring Johnny Depp, Kate Winslet, & Dustin Hoffman

A wonderful movie that should've won an Oscar this year (who the heck actually saw Million Dollar Baby??). Very inspiring, and well done movie.  Johnny Depp was brilliant as always, and though I was not much a fan of Kate Winslet, she did great.
After I saw this movie I went out and got Peter Pan so I could read it again.  I love movies that promote living in the childlike area's of our minds.

Crank it UP!

The Very Best of Cher
Cher

I just recently bought "The Very Best of Cher".  I have to say that I didn't realize that once she split from Sonny, her music in the 60's took on an Indian War Chant stylization O_O... but aside from that, the more current songs are cool.  Very dance/techno oriented, which I didn't realize she wrote so much of. But now understand why there are so.... many ;) .... drawn to her. Good cd.

Sit Back & Relax!

Angels & Demons
written by Dan Brown

Excellent book from the author of "The Da Vinci Code".

The Pope has just died, Conclave is about to begin, and there's corruption in the ranks! The mythological group called the Illuminati have risen from the depths and begun their decades old battle of Science against Religion and a Professor of Religion and Scientist must team up to save the day!

Excellent book, again, from Dan Brown.  He keeps you intrigued the entire time and did a VERY good job of squeezing in Historical facts with Historical fiction :).  There is also plenty in this book that makes you think concerning the relationship of Science and Religion. Can the two co-exist and compliment the other?
